CURED MEAT IN THE WORLD
There exists a variety of cured meats in the world, mainly pork, which are recognized worldwide, as well as in their countries of origin, such as:
Spain - Jamon Serrano / Iberico - Pata Negra - Jabugo
Italy - Prosciutto / San Danielle
However, although it is well-known and appreciated in Europe, these types of cured meats, made from beef, are not recognized in the world, only in their home countries. Depending on the community, known under the following names:
Switzerland - "Bündnerfleisch"
German - "Rinderschinken"
Italian - "Bresaola"
Spanish - "Cecina de León Province"
Jewish - Muslim - "Pastrami", however, pastrami is more cooked meat than a cured beef. (In the Jewish and the Muslim community pork products are not consumed).
We hope with the Patagonian artisan Cured Meats of Secretos de La Unión ® we will also put Chile on the world map of cured meats.
